Bu dersimizde İngilizce hava durumunu (Weather Conditions) nasıl soracağımızı ve değişik hava koşullarını nasıl ifade edeceğimizi öğreneceğiz. Fakat öncesinde mevsimleri hatırlayalım.
“What is the weather like?” ya da “How is the weather?” soruları hava durumunu sormak için kullanılırlar ve “Hava nasıl?” anlamına gelirler. Bu sorulardan “What is the weather like?” sorusununun kullanımı daha yaygındır.
A: What is the weather like today?
(Bugün hava nasıl?)
B: It is sunny today.
(Bugün hava güneşli.)
Yukarıdaki örnekte de görüldüğü gibi hava durumundan bahsederken özne olarak “it” kullanılır.
It is rainy. (Hava yağmurlu.)
It is hot. (Hava sıcak.)
Şimdi de hava durumundan bahsederken kullanabileceğimiz kelimeleri inceleyelim.
